PEAC Health & Fitness is proud to announce that we have “adopted a family” in Africa! Since June 2008, PEAC has sponsored “PPPF Africa” (Perpetual Prosperity Pumps Foundation) via collecting used athletic shoes. Through PPPF we are stimulating the economy in Africa, helping families in need, and improving their farming system. For every 300 pairs of sneakers donated, we are saving twenty-five acres of rainforest. PEAC surpassed 300 shoes back in mid-November and will soon reach 600!
“We recently received a Family Assignment Letter informing us that we have helped the Oliver Febri Family make their first step out of poverty,” explains Laura Geltch, Marketing Assistant at PEAC. “We also received and are proud to display a hand-carved wooden statue, the “Shadow Man.” We thank our members for donating and invite the community to continue this great effort.”
PEAC is still collecting new or slightly used sneakers (sizes 7 and up) and soccer cleats (all sizes)
