Forever Young "Coffee Talk" Complimentary Lecture, "Simplifying Supplements"
January 10th, 2012
Senior citizens today lead a more active and healthy lifestyle, thanks to exercise programs such as “Forever Young” at PEAC Health and Fitness. PEAC’s program is designed to encourage, inform, educate and promote health and fitness, exercise, flexibility, wellness and nutrition, as well as create friendship and fun!
PEAC’s Forever Young program also offers “Coffee Talk,” a complimentary monthly lecture for seniors, on various topics such as: senior fraud, medicare, medication safety, and exercise to strengthen your balance. This month, Barbara Walker, PEAC’s Lifestyle and Wellness Coach, is providing a complimentary lecture: “Simplifying Supplements” on Tuesday, January 31st at 11:30am. In addition to PEAC, Barbara is the President and Corporate Wellness Officer of Allies Consultants, a practice devoted to improving the quality of life for others.
“Bring your supplements with you!” says Barbara. Do not bring your prescriptions--bring your dietary supplements, such as: vitamins, minerals and herbs. This is a discussion on supplements only and how they may affect or benefit you: Are you taking them at the correct time of day? Should they be taken with food or on an empty stomach? Are you taking the proper vitamins, based on your body’s needs? How do you receive proper nutrients from your diet, and not rely on supplements for nutrition? You will learn the answers to these questions and more.
This lecture is open to PEAC members and their guests. The guest fee is $5 for this lecture, with no charge for PEAC members. For more information, please contact Laurel Reid at PEAC Health and Fitness at 609-883-2000, by email. PEAC is located at 1440 Lower Ferry Road, Ewing, NJ 08618.
