PEAC Health & Fitness Honored as Large Business of the Year
October 2009
On Wednesday, October 21st, PEAC Health & Fitness was honored as Ewing’s Large Business of the Year. Mayor Jack Ball presented PEAC with a plaque acknowledging PEAC’s contributions to the community.
“Since 2004, PEAC has raised $500,000 to help area organizations, including $23,000 for the Mercer County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation’s annual Disney World Dreamlift for sick children. In addition, PEAC has raised money for the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Enable, HomeFront, PPPF Africa, and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. As recently as June, PEAC donated its facilities to save the First Presbyterian Church of Ewing”, said Mayor Jack Ball.
PEAC’s President Michael Briehler responded by saying “unlike a typical gym, we consider ourselves a club offering wellness aspects and socialization to members who range in age from 3 years to well past the 90 year mark”.
