PEAC Health & Fitness Donates to Susan G. Komen Foundation

PEAC presented Nancy Healey, Executive Director of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, with a donation check from a month-long fundraising event at PEAC Health & Fitness.

PEAC‘s event included a pink Cybex treadmill, where PEAC donated $.10 for every mile to the SGK Foundation. David Biddle, a local renowned artist from Pennington, generously donated his watercolor beach prints for a silent auction. PEAC also conducted raffles, massages for the cure, and special group exercise classes, plus donated a portion of the proceeds from pink sales. PEAC is proud to announce that together with our members, community and staff we raised $1,376 for Susan G. Komen. According to Monica Smith, Director of Development, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, “PEAC’s donation will cover all costs for more than 13 women to receive mammograms.” PEAC also participated in Pilates for Pink, with an additional donation of $60 to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

“It is with tremendous gratification we present this check to Susan G. Komen. It is a testament to our supportive community and members during these strenuous financial times. We graciously thank David Biddle for the donation of his artwork raising more than $2,500 in the past two years. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Mr. Biddle, with his recent passing…he will be missed by so many,” said Michael Briehler, President, PEAC Health & Fitness.
