PEAC Health & Fitness Offers "Boot Camp" at Timberlane Middle School
December 3th, 2009
For the past year, teachers at Timberlane Middle School in Pennington have been participating in a Health & Fitness Competition. They have joined together in the “Fight to be Fit” and have been incredibly successful: In the prior year, the staff has lost more than 500 pounds! Knowing the increasing rate of obesity in both children and adults, these teachers are creating a healthier work environment and positive, healthy role models for their students. To help motivate the staff along their fitness journey, Michelle Briehler from PEAC Health & Fitness recently volunteered her time to lead over a dozen staff members in a Boot Camp class. Staff of all ages followed Michelle's enthusiastic lead during the 45-minute class designed to burn calories and improve muscle tone. "Teaming up with Michael and Michelle Briehler from PEAC has been an asset to the Health & Fitness Competition," says Coby Sikorski, one of the teacher/coordinators. "PEAC's involvement has been a great motivator to get us up and get active!"
