Local Woodcarving Artist “Meet and Greet”; PEAC Member Holiday

On Saturday, December 10th, PEAC Health & Fitness will be celebrating the holiday season with an annual Member Holiday Brunch from 9am – 12pm. PEAC members are encouraged to bring a guest at no charge to enjoy the festivities.

Member Holiday Brunch attendees will have the opportunity to meet our artist of the month, West Trenton woodcarving artist, Jeff Gottfried of Delaware River Woodcarving. Jeff has been making extraordinary wood art professionally for 20 years. Jeff’s unique hand-made collection features wild animals, such as bears, owls, horses, squirrels and an expansive sea creature collection, which currently transforms PEAC’s entry way to an aquarium. The colors burst off the walls, as families of sea turtles glide through starfish, tropical fish, sharks, octopus, mermaids and divers. All pieces are for sale and make excellent holiday gifts. Jeff is also donating original, hand-carved fish for children (aged 5-12), to have the opportunity to paint their fish in KidSpace, during the Member Holiday Brunch.

During the Brunch, a special group exercise class will be offered: “Yoga-In the Spirit of Giving” – attendees are requested to bring a toy for our Toys for Tots toy drive. Battery G 3rd Battalion 14th Marines, located in Ft. Dix, will pick up PEAC’s fourth annual Toys for Tots toy drive collection.

Additionally, don’t miss the chance to complete your holiday shopping; vendors will be selling handbags, active wear, jewelry and much more. Bring the kids for a photo with Santa; there will be crafts and a moonbounce as well. Throughout the event, representatives from several area restaurants will be serving light refreshments.
