Runway to Runway 2009
PEAC Health & Fitness held its second annual “Runway to Runway” on Saturday, April 25th benefitting the Mercer County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation. All proceeds help support Dreamlift, a dream-filled day of fun and rays of sunshine at Disney World in Orlando, FL.
The evening began with a fashion show and talent showcase with A La Mode of West Trenton and Schaffer’s Men’s Shop of Lawrenceville, providing the clothes for our models. Valley Wines & Spirits of Pennington poured wines from the seven featured countries on our themed “Island Hopping Tour.”
Generous food donations were provided by Acme, Around The Table, Cup of Joe, Deli-Licious, Emily’s Café, Funni Bonz, La Villa, Olsson’s Fine Foods, Palermo’s III, Pennington Quality Market, Piccolo Trattoria, Shop Rite, Stop & Shop, Terhune Orchards, The Runway Restaurant & Bar, and Wegmans. Members of PEAC staff, and many people from the local community donated and volunteered their time for this wonderful cause.
Together with our ticket sales, silent auction and “Adopt-A-Seat,” PEAC raised $23,000 for the Dreamlift! “Thank you to everyone who helped bring this event to life—we had a fun evening and made a difference in the lives of so many deserving children,” said Laurel Reid, Chairperson of Runway to Runway at PEAC.
Runway to Runway 2008
In April 2008, PEAC Health & Fitness hosted the first annual “Runway to Runway,” a benefit for the Sunshine Foundation Dreamlift of Mercer County, raising over $24,000, which helped send 110 children on the Mercer County Dreamlift to Disney World! The night was filled with a fashion show, wine tasting, and talent showcase featuring singing and salsa dancing.
