On Wednesday, October 29, 2009, PEAC presented Monica Smith, Director of Development, Susan G. Komen Foundation, with a donation check as a result of fund raising efforts for the breast cancer awareness month of October.
PEAC ran a month-long event that included raffles, massages for the cure, special group exercise classes and a donation portion of proceeds from sales. PEAC is proud to announce that our members and staff raised $1,031.00 for Susan G. Komen. According to Monica Smith, “PEAC’s donation will cover all costs for more than ten women to receive mammograms.”
“It is with tremendous gratification we present this check, which is twenty percent higher than 2007’s total! It is a testament to our generous and supportive community during these difficult financial times. We thank everyone who donated,” said Michael Briehler, President, PEAC Health & Fitness.
